Eating Healthy When Busy, Made Easy

Good Nutrition Shouldn’t Slow Down When Your Schedule Speeds Up

Eating healthy can be hard.  I’ll be the first person to admit it.  The best way to ensure you’re eating the best is to cook for yourself, but that can be so time consuming.  Well, there are ways to prepare for those too-busy days, when you might be tempted to reach for those harmful foods:  freezer meals.  All you really need to do is plan ahead, and it doesn’t have to be specific.

Spend a Day in the Kitchen

Set aside a day where you know you’ll have plenty of time.  Devote that day to making a lot of food.  Not just any food, though.  You’re going to want to focus on foods that freeze well and can be reheated without losing a lot of quality.  Stews, soups, pastas, loaves, and casseroles are the best for this.  I did some searching, and here are my favorite freezer-friendly recipes:

Spinach Lasagna

Salmon Loaf

Rosemary Turkey

Chicken and Broccoli

You Need the Best Nutrition When You’re Busy

The idea behind these meals is to be quick and easy when you’re busy.  Take time to prepare them when you’re available, so that you’ll be able to enjoy a quality meal when you’re swamped.  These meals can easily be frozen and reheated for a filling, delicious, and healthy meal when your body needs it most.
